Police have warned residents in the Moorlands about a spate of local scams involving iPhones being delivered by DPD vans.

PCSO Sara Staples, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, warned residents of the scams earlier today.

She said: "Please be aware of a scam that has occurred in the area involving an individual ordering an iPhone, the parcel is delivered by a DPD van to an address following which a second plain van will pull up shortly after saying that the DPD driver has delivered to the wrong address and asks for the parcel so he can re-deliver it.

"If this does occur and you are not waiting for any deliveries either refuse to take the parcel or arrange for it to be sent back to the company by yourself."
