Biddulph Town Council has encouraged local organisations to apply for its grants scheme before the deadline for applications closes next week.

The Town Council Grants Scheme can allocate grants of between £30 and £2,000 to local organisations, although larger amounts may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

The deadline for the next round of grant applications is Friday, 13th November at 5pm.

A spokesperson for the town council said: "So far this year the Town Council has allocated over £60,000 to local organisations to provide services to our community.

"You could also consider approaching one of the Town Councillors for additional funding from their allocations. All the information is on our website. We look forward to hearing from you!"

Town Councillors considered applications that had been made in 2020 - 21 as usual at their Finance Strategy and Management Committee meeting, but the council says there were some organisations who are uncertain about their activities in 2020-21.

For this reason, additional applications are also being considered for this month.

Only one application will be considered per organisation, and grants are allocated at the discretion of the Council and in accordance with the agreed strategic objectives.

To find out more or to apply, visit the relevant page of the town council's website here.
