Our client, based in the East Cheshire area, are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with machinery design experience. This is a permanent role paying 50,000 - 55,000 per annum. Work is on days working from Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.The job is commutable from the following areas: Crewe, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Macclesfield, Leek, Northwich, Knutsford, Biddulph Newcastle-under-Lyme & North Stoke areas.To be considered for the Mechanical Design role, you will need to have 5-10+ years' experience working within mechanical machinery design, working to tight design tolerances and understanding interactions between moving parts; covering process machinery/plant design & associated ancillary equipment, bearings, shafts, rotating machinery, seals etc.They may also be open to a less experienced Engineer with relevant machinery design experience.DUTIES: Design and detailing of machinery and mechanical engineering components. Calculations using standard formulas and codes. Ensuring the design meets the clients specification whilst meeting value engineering principles. Ensuring that the design is consistent with standards and safe working practices. Liaising and working closely with different in house teams, including production & senior management. Site visits to customer sites to discuss specifications and taking dimensions where necessary.
