Biddulph is ready for Aldi to come to town, with only a few weeks now remaining before the supermarket is ready to open its doors to customers.
With construction progressing at pace, speculation has grown as to whether Aldi will hold any kind of 'Grand Opening' to mark the supermarket's first day in Biddulph.
And the supermarket has now confirmed that this is the case, and an opening ceremony will indeed be held.
A spokesperson for Aldi told Biddulph Nub News: "I can confirm that we will be hosting a 'Grand Opening' for Aldi Biddulph when it opens in October, with a ribbon cutting ceremony."
However, questions over some of the details of the ceremony still remain.
The supermarket previously stated that its Biddulph store would be opening on October 21st, but the spokesperson also added that an official date for the grand opening is now yet to be confirmed.
Despite this they did add that the supermarket is still targeted for opening in October, meaning the opening will still take place near to the 21st even if it is not on this exact date.
It has also not yet been confirmed who will be cutting the ribbon to mark the store's opening, although the spokesperson added that more details would be confirmed around two weeks ahead of the opening date.
So watch this space for more details as there are now only around seven weeks remaining until Aldi is officially open in Biddulph!
