Police are "keen to find" the owner of an owl ornament that was thrown at a car in Biddulph so they can continue their enquiries.

Biddulph Nub News reported previously how police appealed for information after a car was damaged while parked on St John's Road in Biddulph.

The damage was caused by a garden owl ornament being thrown at the car.

The impact of the owl ornament caused damage to the car's bonnet.

Police say the incident took place on Monday 14th or Tuesday 15th September.

Now officers have issued a new appeal, posting a picture of the owl ornament in the hopes of finding its owner.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Anyone missing a garden owl ornament?

"We believe this ornament was used to damage a vehicle in St Johns Road, Biddulph last month.

"We are keen to find the owner so we can continue our enquiries.

"Please call 101 and quote incident number 297 of 15th September."

A police spokesperson said last month in the original appeal: "Police are appealing for information after a red mini was damaged while parked on St Johns Road, Biddulph.

"The damage has occurred between 9pm on Monday 14th and 10am on Tuesday 15th September.

"A garden owl ornament has been thrown at the car causing damage to the bonnet and police are asking for any information to assist in catching any offender/s.
