16-year-old arrested after two injured in Biddulph assault

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after two people were injured in an assault in Biddulph earlier this week.

Police were called to an address near Newpool Road, Biddulph, at around 9.10pm on Monday (17 January) following reports of violence.

Residents also reported a disturbance on the nearby Lyneside Road at this time.

A 16-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man had both sustained minor injuries in an assault.

Another 16-year-old boy was arrested a short time later.

The arrested boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was later charged with two counts of assault and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

He was granted conditional police bail ahead of an appearance at North Staffordshire Youth Court on 9 February.
