26-year-old Biddulph man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after town centre crash

A 26-year old man from Biddulph has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in the town centre yesterday evening (Wednesday 10th August).

Residents reported spotting a car being towed by police on John Street, as well as another car with a damaged rear end further up the road on Well Street.

Police told Nub News that a man has since been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

He is currently still in police custody while officers continue to carry out their enquiries.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A 26-year-old man, from Biddulph, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink.

"He remains in police custody.

"Inquiries are ongoing."
