Biddulph's Artisan Market is finally returning to the town tomorrow, after going months without markets due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The market usually takes place on the first Friday of every month from 9am - 3pm, but like many things, this was put to a stop as the virus forced the country to go into lockdown.

Now though, the market is returning at its usual time tomorrow, with visitors and traders being welcomed to browse and sell outside Sainsbury's in the town centre.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "It has been eight months since the last Artisan Market and we are so pleased that we can finally return.

"The market will be outside Sainsburys with no road closure on Wharf Road meaning that the buses can run as normal and not hold up the traffic on the High Street.

"We hope you can join us and our lovely traders for a great day."

An array of local traders will be returning to the market, such as LJB plants, who are looking forward to returning, with a spokesperson saying: "Biddulph Artisan Market is back this Friday 4th September, and we will be there with a selection of perennial plants and shrubs. Come and say hello!"

The Biddulph Local People's Project will also be at the market, saying: "We will be at the Artisan Market on Friday, so we look forward to seeing you there."

If you would like to find out more or sign up to trade at the market, fill in the booking form on the town council's website here.
