A 45-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed by police after a "substantial" cannabis grow was found at a Knypersley address.

The cannabis was found after police carried out a warrant at an address on Colwyn Drive on Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said yesterday: "Police attended an address on Colwyn Drive in Knypersley at about 4pm on Monday (24 May) in order to conduct a drugs warrant.

"A substantial cannabis grow was discovered.

"The male occupant is due to be interviewed by officers on Tuesday (25 May)."

Now in an updated statement, police told Nub News that a 45-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed following the warrant.

After being interviewed yesterday he has been reported for a summons relating to cultivation of a class B drug.

A police spokesperson added: "A 45-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed by police following a drugs warrant in Knypersley.

"Officers conducted the warrant on Colwyn Drive at 4pm on Monday (24 May).

"A substantial cannabis grow was discovered.

"The male occupant attended Biddulph Police Station for interview on Tuesday (25 May).

"He has been reported for a summons relating to cultivation of a class B drug."
