Residents have been welcomed to come along and enjoy a new market that is starting very soon in Biddulph.
A new Twilight Market is launching in the town with the first market being held on Friday, 6th May.
The market will be held in the usual place outside Biddulph Town Hall, but it will be held from 3.30pm - 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said that having the market at this time would hopefully allow more residents to attend.
They said: "Covid has changed the way we all shop. We cannot change the day of the market here in Biddulph, but we would love it if more of you could attend.
"We would like to introduce the new Twilight Market. With something for everyone, we start at 3.30pm here at the Town Hall and on the frontage, we hope you can join us either straight from school, after a day out, or after work. Come alone, with your family or friends. Everyone is welcome!
"We will have music a bar and plenty of opportunities to shop and relax, ready for the beginning of the weekend. Come and support local traders and enjoy night time in Biddulph."
Nub News reported previously how Biddulph is blocked from holding markets on Saturdays due to a 749 year old charter in Congleton held by Cheshire East Council, which means any town within a six mile radius is prevented from holding a market on a Saturday.
This has caused residents to complain that although they would like to attend the markets, the are unable to do so due to being at work while they are on.
