Biddulph Aldi opening pushed back to November

Local News by Jack Lenton 20th Sep 2021

The opening date of Biddulph's upcoming Aldi supermarket has been pushed back to November.

The supermarket had originally hoped to open on October 21st, but this has since been delayed.

However, Aldi are still hoping to open their doors to customers in Biddulph in time for the busy Christmas shopping period.

Biddulph Nub News reported recently how nine weeks of roadworks were scheduled for Tunstall Road soon as part of the preparations for the upcoming opening.

The roadworks begin today (Monday 20th September) and will involve the construction of a new fourth exit for the roundabout which also connects to St John's Road.

When the supermarket does open, a 'Grand Opening' ceremony will be held including the cutting of a ribbon to mark the opening of the supermarket.

It has not yet been confirmed who will be cutting the ribbon, with Aldi saying they will provide more details around two weeks before the opening date.
