A Biddulph care home has issued a statement after police attended "reports of a disturbance" last week.
Biddulph Nub News reported recently how officers attended the Helping Angels care home on Park Lane at around 7.30am on January 28th but took no further action.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said at the time: "Police were called to an address on Park Lane, Knypersley, at around 7.30am on Friday following reports of a disturbance. Officers attended and found no-one was injured. No further action was taken."
It was reported at the time that residents on Park Lane had been involved in a dispute with the care home over parking, although it was not clear whether this was related to the police attendance.
Now the care home has issued a statement, with a spokesperson saying Helping Angels works "in harmony" with neighbours and "do not consider" themselves to be in a dispute.
They added that they are "open, honest and supportive" with the local community and "efficiently responded" to parking concerns.
The story comes after the Independent Children's Home Association said that new care homes are regularly met with hostility by nearby residents.
Kelly Caddy from Helping Angels said: "We work in harmony with our local neighbours and the community, we do not consider ourselves in dispute with any neighbour or the community.
"We are regularly communicating with the immediate neighbours to rectify any concerns over parking and work as promised will commence on 11th February 2022.
"The work is expected to finish within two days of the commencement date.
"We continue to work incredibly hard to provide support to the most vulnerable people and families in and around Stoke on Trent.
"Our home from home respite facility embraces local life and supports children and young adults with disabilities to be at the heart of community living with the view of building independent life skills.
"We will continue to be open, honest and supportive by working closely with neighbours and professionals to ensure we live within a happy, safe, and vibrant community.
"May we take this opportunity to thank all our neighbours and the wider community for their supportive comments within the recent articles.
"We have received a number of positive comments on how we have efficiently responded to the parking concern from local residents.
"Please contact us by email [email protected] if you would like to discuss anything of concern."
Biddulph Nub News reported previously how the planning application to convert a Park Lane bungalow into a care home was narrowly approved by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council back in November 2020.
The application was made by care service Helping Angels, who hoped to convert the bungalow into a home providing respite care for young people aged under 25 who need to be cared for 24/7.
After a debate the application was approved by one vote, with seven votes in favour and six against.
