Did you know that Biddulph Nub News has its very own local What's On page?

On our What's On page people can submit their upcoming local events, no matter how big or small, and spread the word for free on our site to our thousands of Biddulph readers.

This week's event is the Staged Drama Club.

Home Education Drama Club

Starting Monday 13th September
  • *Every Monday**
10:30am until 12:30pm

Staged presents theatre studies for the Home Educating community.

At Biddulph Youth and Community Zone.

September 2021 to December 2021

(Pantomime Theatre Trip)

Looking at scripts for Frankenstein, Little Shop of Horrors, Jekyll and Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, The Tempest and much more.

Each session will have different activities relating to the theme.

Activities include: Story telling, Reading/Understanding a script, Prop making, Costume and Set design, Mask making, Puppet theatre etc.

Parents are welcome to drop off or join in!

Drinks available for a small donation.
  • No Food Sorry* You are welcome to bring your own snacks, but please take your litter home.

Learning Aims:

To be able to recognize and understand different theatre terms and vocabulary.

To be able to use a range of stimuli to develop critical and creative skills.

To develop structure in scriptwriting and explore writing styles.

To develop your acting skills.

To develop your understanding of voice, character and expression.

Use games and tasks to explore creative options with your peers.

Understand the backstage departments and learn basic skills.
