Moorlands Climate Action Youth Team are holding a Children's Summer Art Competition for anyone between the ages of 5-16 who live in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The competition is simple: draw, make or paint a Curlew.
There will be a prize for the younger and older age category plus certificates for the winners, and everyone eligible has been encouraged to have a go.
Curlews are big beautiful birds and were once a common sight in our Staffordshire Moorlands. According to the RSPB they are now in danger of extinction in Europe and the U.K. Climate change is one of a number of reasons for their disappearance.
Moorlands Climate Action are a group of local people who are working alongside the community and other organisations to find practical solutions which can protect our local area and the world from the effects of the climate crisis.
The closing date for the competition is 5th September.
