A new Cleaner is required at the Woodhouse Lane school, which serves Year 5 to Year 8 pupils.

This part-time role is vital to the school's operation, particularly in times of COVID.

For 11.67 hours a week, the successful candidate will serve in a permanent role during term time and also four weekly contracted hours during school closure periods.

The pay in this Biddulph cleaning job is £9.25 per hour for a Grade 1 £5,213.86 actual salary.

"The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our cleaning team," said Woodhouse Academy.

"If you are a reliable individual committed to providing a valuable service in cleaning and maintaining schools, we would like to hear from you."

"The Cleaner will work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to undertake individually, or as part of a team.

"They will conduct the cleaning of designated areas and associated accommodation to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition."

Experience of mop sweeping, single solution mopping, buffing, damp wiping, waste disposal, spray and suction cleaning, along with hard floor care is desired. All will be required for the role.

There will also be cleaning of toilets, equipment and furniture.

Ensuring the safe use of chemicals to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council standards and policies is also important.

Safety of their pupils is their priority, so this position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS), which will require applicants to disclose all criminal convictions.
