Children at a Biddulph nursery had an exciting day when police were called to the scene!

A local PCSO visited Happy Hours nursery in Biddulph to help the little ones learn about the role of police within the community.

PCSO James Baddeley taught the children about different aspects of policing including the various roles within the police, the vehicles they use, and of course the exciting stuff - investigating crimes!

The children also had the chance to try on police uniforms and do their own research about the police.

A spokesperson for Happy Hours said: "The upper preschool children have been learning all about the police and have done their own research into the role of police with the community and the differences between different roles within the police.

"They looked at finger prints and crime scenes, police role play, the vehicles and more.

"Last week we had a special visit from PCSO Baddeley.

"He read stories, played in the role play area and even let the children try on some of his uniform.

This was a fantastic opportunity for the children and they absolutely loved it! "Thank you for coming James, we really appreciate it. And thank you for your service, keeping our community safe."
