Biddulph residents have been encouraged to take part in a scenic charity race around Knypersley Reservoir coming up in just a few weeks time.

Biddulph Running Club will be holding its annual Knypersley Pool five mile multi-terrain charity race and one mile fun run on Sunday 27th February.

Both races will take runners around Knypersley Reservoir, and the five mile version will also carry on through the neighbouring woods and fields, and past the visitor centre.

Those who want to take part have been asked to book their place as soon as possible as the race is capped at 250 entrants. It costs £8 for members and £10 for non-members for the five mile race and only £2.50 for the one mile fun run.

All proceeds will be donated to the Biddulph Mayor's charities which, this year, are Staffordshire Sight Loss Association and the Trussell Trust Food Bank.

There will be prizes for the main race winners (1st to 3rd) and for winners of the veteran categories. Medals will be given out to all fun-runners.

For more details and to enter the main race visit the Biddulph Running Club website or click here. Fun run entries are taken on the day.
