Biddulph Post Office applies for licence to sell alcohol

The post office and convenience store on Biddulph High Street has applied for a licence to sell alcohol, according to documents on Staffordshire Moorlands District Council's website.

A licensing application was made to the council by the post office. which has its premises on 8 - 10 High Street.

The application aims to receive the licence by 1st April, with the application stating: "The premises are duly alarmed and have CCTV 24/7 installed.

"At the moment the convenience store is not selling alcohol, and now in the future the convenience store would like to sell alcohol products."

The application adds that the store would like to sell alcohol throughout its full opening times of 6am - 8pm every day of the week.

The application is currently under its public consultation period, which runs until 31st March.
