A Biddulph pub's viral lockdown quizzes are finally coming to an end after attracting hundreds of teams from all over the world.
The quizzes were set up by Chris 'Ecke' Exon as a way of keeping The Roaring Meg's weekly pub quizzes going as the country was thrown into lockdown last year.
Sixty-five weeks later and the online quiz has been an unprecedented success, attracting 600 teams a week at its peak and pulling in almost 60,000 page views to date.
But now as Coronavirus restrictions get ever closer to being repealed, the quiz is soon due to return to the pub in person - however it's not entirely the end of the popular online quizzes, with the weekly quiz due to be replaced by a new monthly quiz in the future.
The final online quiz for the time being will be hosted tonight (Monday) at 8pm.
Discussing the final quiz and the last 65 weeks, Ecke said: "Well all good things must come to an end, and we're definitely going out on a high! Tonight is sadly the last of our Roaring Meg weekly online lockdown quizzes.
"We've managed 63 online quizzes over the last 65 weeks and what a ride it has been. It really has been one of the most humbling and craziest experiences of my life.
"Who could believe the quiz would peak at pulling in over 600 teams a week. In total as of this morning, the combined viewing figures of the quizzes is standing at 59,300 views! We've conquered the world, with teams regularly playing in Norway, America, Malta, Spain, France, Mexico, Ireland, and too many other countries to list.
"The most amazing part of the whole experience though is when our fundraising quiz for the Peter Pan Centre for Special Needs raised over £2,200 in 1 night! Your kindness just blew me away.
"So for the last time come and join me online tonight at 8pm on YouTube. If you haven't played for a while, then don't miss out!
"We'll let you know soon about when the quiz will return to being in the pub, but in the mean time don't be too sad, as we'll be starting our new monthly online quizzes very shortly!"
