Police have warned Biddulph residents of a potential scam involving a fake pharmacist doing the rounds in the area.
The scam has been reported in the Biddulph Moor area, and involved a "pharmacist" phoning residents and asking them if they still want to have their prescription delivered.
The pharmacist would then begin to demand extra money for these non-existent prescriptions.
Police have now warned residents to be careful when giving out your personal details over the phone, and to be absolutely sure that the person you are speaking to is who you think they are.
PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of a possible scam in the area.
"It is stated that a local pharmacist is calling people to ask if they still want their prescription delivered and if so they need to pay extra.
"We have checked with the pharmacist and they have not contacted anyone.
"Please be vigilant when passing details over the phone.
"Do not give any bank details etc until you are sure this is a genuine phone call."
