Biddulph residents have been encouraged to take part in the town's upcoming scarecrow festival, as it returns for its fourth year running.

Biddulph Youth and Community Zone has challenged the town to create scarecrows of all shapes and sizes, and put them on display from 26th - 31st October.

Everyone has been welcomed to take part, including children, adults, families, schools, local shops, businesses, community groups, clubs and organisations.

This year's theme for the competition is 'Key Workers', and scarecrows should be designed with this theme in mind.

New for 2020, people can now enter individually or gather at least three entrants to collectively make and display Scarecrows in proximity to each other, such as on the same street, and enter as a "Collection".

Also for the first time, there will be an opportunity for everyone to choose their favourites. Once the scarecrows are registered, the Zone will provide a list of entries, and the public will have the chance to decide the winners.

The most popular Scarecrows will receive a trophy and an Amazon Voucher. All scarecrow designers will receive a personalised Certificate of Participation.

If you would like to take part, complete an entry form and register your Scarecrow with The Zone.

Forms are available at Biddulph Youth and Community Zone and Biddulph Town Hall.
