Congratulations to Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, who were recognised for all the incredible volunteering work they do in the town at the Support Staffordshire awards!

The team were given Star Volunteer Awards for Staffordshire at a ceremony on Wednesday evening at Westwood Golf Club in Leek.

The awards are designed to recognise the great work that volunteers and community groups carry out around Staffordshire.

A spokesperson for Support Staffordshire said: "The Support Staffordshire Volunteer Star Awards are cabaret style evenings held in a number of districts across Staffordshire, each with a local focus. These events are aimed at publicly recognising and celebrating the valuable contribution volunteers play in supporting our community.  

"This is a great opportunity for the community to say thank you and really appreciate the work being carried out by an amazing army of incredibly inspiring hidden heroes.

"These events are funded through fundraising and sponsorship and without the recognition, contribution and generosity of local businesses these events would not be possible."
