Residents have been invited to join in the fun of Biddulph's ever popular scarecrow competition as it gets underway next week!

The scarecrows will be on display around the town from 14th October and anyone is welcome to join in.

People can create their most weird and wonderful scarecrows and display them outside their homes.

The judges at Biddulph Youth and Community Zone will then pick the best scarecrows and decide on the winners!

The theme for this year's competition is 'A Splash of Colour', so bonus points if your scarecrow fits well with this theme.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Youth and Community Zone said: "Our Scarecrow Competition is back and open to everyone in our local area!

"There's three categories: Residential, Schools & Nurseries and Businesses - if you're a local business you are eligible to enter too!

"There will be prizes for those who win in their categories.

"Find the entry form on our website: www.bycz.org or at The Zone (alternatively, we can drop off to you).

"This year's theme is a splash of colour, so go as adventurous and colourful as you like!"
