Biddulph's longest serving on-call firefighter has been wished all the best for the future after retiring following more than three decades of service.
Watch Manager, Frank Barlow, has now retired after an amazing 32 years.
There are now 11 on-call firefighters in the Biddulph team following Frank's retirement on Monday.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service explained more about the role of on-call firefighters.
They said: "Many of our on-call firefighters have other jobs and fit in their on-call hours around their other commitments.
"Some of the jobs our crew have when they aren't on-call include electricians, fitness centre owner and working for the NHS.
"Having a varied work set brings a variety of skills, which come in handy at incidents."
People have since sent Frank their best wishes following his retirement.
One resident commented: "All the best Frank, enjoy your retirement."
Another added: "Have a good one Frank!"
And a third said: "Well done Frank, enjoy all of your spare time."
