A teenager from Brindley Ford is celebrating after winning a prestigious hairdressing competition!

17-year-old Vinny-Lee Brennan, who works at Colour Code Hair Lounge on Bridge Street in Brindley Ford, triumphed at the Quif Centre Stage competition last night (Monday 26th September) after getting through to the finals in Stockport.

The competition was set up by the haircare brand Quif with the aim of giving some of the country's most talented hairdressers a chance to showcase their skills.

As part of the competition Vinny had to create the best look using Quif hair products and send in pictures through an online form.

A panel of industry experts then selected six lucky finalists, who were then invited to create a brand new look to present with their model on stage in front of a live audience last night.

Vinny was not only chosen as one of the six finalists but also ended up being crowned as the overall winner!

For his prize, Vinny won £1,000 worth of Quif products, the opportunity to feature as a guest artist on a Quif colour brand photoshoot and, the chance to appear on the judging panel for next year's competition!

People have since taken to social media to congratulate Vinny on his win.

One person commented: "Absolutely amazing, well done Vinny, you are going to go far young man."

Another added: "Well done Vinny, I knew you would smash it, your model's hair is amazing."
