The Moorlands has enjoyed a second week in a row with no new Coronavirus deaths being recorded in the district - in fact, only one death has been recorded in all of Staffordshire this week (excluding Stoke-on-Trent).
However, there is still some cause for concern after this week also saw the number of recorded Coronavirus cases in the county climb above 4,000 for the first time.
The data is released weekly by the Office for National Statistics, with the latest figures being released earlier today (Tuesday), for the week ending Friday, August 7th.
The figures mean that the number of people who have died from Coronavirus in the Moorlands remains at 79.
Of the 79 deaths, 55 have taken place in hospitals, 16 have occurred in care homes, three have occurred at home, with three at other communal establishments, one in a hospice, and one elsewhere.
The county's Coronavirus case numbers climbed above 4,000 for the first time over the weekend.
As of Saturday, there were 4,007 recorded cases of Coronavirus in Staffordshire, an increase of 44 from the 3,963 cases recorded in the county at last Tuesday's weekly update.
Of Saturday's cases, 392 of these were recorded in the Moorlands, an increase of 5 from the 387 Moorlands cases recorded last Tuesday.
