Community testing for Coronavirus will be in place in Biddulph tomorrow, and residents have been asked to book their places in advance.
Biddulph Town Council posted an update to its Facebook page this afternoon (Tuesday), with information about the tests that are taking place and how people can sign up.
Staffordshire County Council is aiming to find out how far Coronavirus has spread in the local community by testing people who aren't showing symptoms of the virus.
Residents have been asked to help the council with this work by signing up for a test tomorrow.
A spokesperson for the county council said: "The Moorlands has seen an increase in coronavirus cases over the past few weeks, and we all need to do everything we can to stop it in its tracks.
"One of the ways we can do this is by finding out how far the virus has spread in the local community. We do this by testing people who aren't currently showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
"We're calling on you to help us with this work, by getting tested if you don't currently have any symptoms. Testing is quick and free, and is taking place in your area."
Testing will take place at Biddulph Town Hall on the high street, on Wednesday, 4th November, between 10am and 1pm.
125 appointments are available, but must be booked in advance by clicking here.
Residents have been asked NOT to attend the tests if they have symptoms of Coronavirus. Instead, they should book through the national portal by clicking here or calling 119.
