Details have been confirmed for this year's Christmas lights switch on in Biddulph Moor and it promises to be a night to remember!

The switch on has been organised by Biddulph Rotary Club and will take place at the village hall on Saturday, 3rd December from 4pm.

There will be a barbecue, a bar, plenty of rides and activities for the kids to enjoy, and Santa may also be paying a visit!

The lights will be switched on at 6pm, and people with tractors have also been welcomed to bring them along for a 'tractor run'.

A spokesperson for the Rotary Club said: "There will be kids' rides, music, and tractors (some might be all lit up). There will be a BBQ and the bar will be open. If it rains, don't worry, you can keep dry inside and send Dad outside to get the food!

"We hope to have Christmas stalls inside, and if you would like a pitch then call Mike Broom on 07786 008901 There's a small charge to help raise funds for the local Scouts.

"Pitch-up at 4pm till about 7pm, there is a possibility of staying open if enough people want to stay and relax with friends in the hall. There will be a 'tractor run' with a Christmas theme, and if you would like to bring yours then call Rutty or Dukesy (you'll know who I mean if you've got a tractor!).

"We will be turning on the lights of the village hall's tree at 6pm and if we're all good boys and girls then Santa is expected to pay a visit as well."
