Biddulph High School students saw the results of all their hard work today after receiving their A-Level grades.

The school said it was "delighted" with its students' results, with 95% of students securing their chosen university.

They will now go on to study all kinds of courses and subjects at a range of universities all over the country.

A spokesperson for Biddulph High School said: "Staff and students have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, overcoming significant challenges throughout their studies within BH6.

"We are delighted with the results students have achieved and they clearly reflect the commitment that they have for their studies and the progress that they make with the support of high-quality subject teachers.

"This year our sixth form students have achieved fantastic results improving on the pre-pandemic grades within A Level and L3 Vocational studies. With a pass rate of 100% for all courses and 41% of all entries achieving A , A or B grades (72% A*-C) students have the opportunity to compete for the very best post 18 opportunities.

"Performance was particularly strong in A Level English Language, Physical Education, Photography and English Literature and within RSL L3 Performing Arts (Dance), BTEC L3 Health and Social Care, Art and Design, IT and Business. Some students celebrated a full set of A* and A grades in all subjects taken.

"Our students continue to make progress onto fantastic university and Apprenticeships. 95% of our students secured their chosen university to continue their studies both locally and nationally to study a range of courses."

Some of the universities and courses that this year's students are moving on to include:

  • Imperial College London (Mathematics)
  • University of York (Human Geography and Environment)
  • Loughborough (Fine Art, Quantity Surveying)
  • University of Manchester (Business Accounting)

  • University of Edinburgh (Classical Studies)

Students have also secured places at our local universities, Keele and Staffordshire, in a wide range of subjects including Healthcare and Computing.

A Biddulph High School spokesperson added: "Our Apprenticeship support continues to yield outstanding opportunities and we are delighted with the range of Apprenticeships achieved.

"Our students have proven that they are resilient, hardworking and committed to their studies. They deserve nothing but praise for their achievements and we wish them all the best for their future."
