A popular community café in Biddulph is celebrating today - as it marked the first anniversary of the café's food club.

Biddulph Nub News reported back in 2020 that The Green Tree House on Biddulph High Street was opening a community food club.

And the café has now been running its food club for a year - that's a whole year of providing food at a bargain price for local residents who need it most.

The food club supports the town's vulnerable and disadvantaged residents, who can pick up 10 items of their choosing for just £4.50 - a better price than they would have to pay for the same items in supermarkets.

The club is open again tomorrow (Friday) from 10am - 2pm, with 10 items for £4.50, 20 items for £9 or 30 items for £13.50.

The not-for-profit café is run by community volunteers.
