Man recalled to prison after police send negotiators to Biddulph domestic incident

A man has been recalled to prison after police were sent to "a domestic-related incident" in Biddulph at the weekend.

Police say that "specially-trained negotiators" were sent to Lynmouth Close on Saturday evening.

A man was later arrested on suspicion of a raft of crimes including assault and criminal damage.

Police now say that the man has been recalled to prison and remains under investigation.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "Police were called to an address on Lynmouth Close in Biddulph at around 6.30pm on Saturday (5 March) following initial reports of a domestic-related incident and criminal damage to two vehicles.

"On arrival, officers found a man in distress and specially-trained negotiators were sent to the scene.

"A 28-year-old man, of no fixed address, was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, assault by beating, making threats to kill, and using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence.

"He has been recalled to prison and remains under investigation."
