A new course in Biddulph is aiming to help local families learn how to cook healthy meals on a budget - and if that doesn't sound good enough already, it's completely free too!

Biddulph Youth and Community Zone are holding free family cooking sessions starting from next week at their centre on Church Road.

There will be four weekly sessions, starting on Wednesday (10th August) at 6pm, with adults welcome to bring their children (aged 7 and over) along to learn as well.

The first session will give tips on how to cook items such as healthy pizza and smoothies.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Youth and Community Zone said: "If you have children aged 7 and over and would like to take part in our great new project over the summer holidays, contact us and sign up for our family cooking sessions.

"Over four weeks you'll make a variety of meals that are cheap and healthy and of course tasty, all for free.

"The project aims to address health inequalities by running a series of health sessions, including nutritional advice, cookery lessons and sharing with local families. All ingredients supplied."

To book your place message the Zone on Facebook or call 01782 244288.
