New rapid Covid-19 testers are being recruited in Staffordshire, as the county council aims to conduct 80,000 tests every week.

The council is taking part in Government's mass roll out of rapid COVID-19 testing.

The new rapid tests give results in less than an hour, and the council hopes that this will help them to quickly identify more people who have the virus and in turn stop the spread of infection.

However, the authority says it is currently in need of extra help in delivering these tests, and is asking people to sign up if they are interested in becoming a tester.

Full training will be given and no experience or qualifications are needed, although applicants should be in good health and enjoy working with people.

If you would like to apply, visit the council's website here.
