A new reopening date has been revealed for a Biddulph Moor pub that is undergoing a revamp following a change of ownership.

The Rose and Crown in Biddulph Moor is currently closed, but is due to reopen next month after its new owners complete refurbishments to the building.

The pub was originally due to reopen on 24th October, but this was then pushed back to Saturday 29th October, and finally again to Sunday 30th October due to slight setbacks in the refurbishment process.

Nicola Louise, who has taken over the pub alongside her partner, says the reopening will be a day to remember.

They had planned a Halloween party for the 29th, but this has now been replaced with a spectacular launch event on the 30th.

Discussing the new reopening date and the launch event she said: "We had a slight setback today, nothing to worry about but our opening has been delayed by a week meaning we have to cancel the Halloween event we had planned on the Saturday. This is due to the refurb so its a positive thing really because it means we will be bringing you a massively new and improved Rose and Crown.

"So our actual launch date now will be Sunday 30th October. We will still be having an incredible launch party but it means I'll need to rearrange the original plans a little bit, but keep your eyes peeled for details of what we will be bringing to the table for you.

"Apologies again as we were really looking forward to the Halloween event but we plan on more than making up for this with our launch party on the Sunday! Watch this space - we will be seeing you all very soon!"
