Parents and children in Biddulph will soon have the opportunity to access free mental health support, delivered by the North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust.
The trust's Mental Health Support Team is providing a virtual drop in service for pupils in the area and their parents/carers on Tuesday, 7th July, from 9am - 5pm.
The team will be there to provide advice and support on a wide range of issues that can have an effect on the mental health of children and parents.
These include:
- Worry management
- Low mood
- Exam stress
- Difficulties with emotions
- Anxiety
- Panic management
- Coping strategies
- Sleep
- Behavioural difficulties
They can also complete referrals into the Mental Health Support Team or provide signposting to any other relevant services.
If you would like to take part, please text your name to 07813 401563 and state whether you are a pupil or parent/carer and the school that you or your child attends - please note that this number is only available for this purpose and is not to be used in an emergency.
A practitioner will then contact you during office hours (Monday - Friday) prior to the 7th of July to take some details, explain the process and arrange a convenient time slot for your drop in session.
