Police appeal after attack outside Biddulph pub leaves man in critical condition

Officers are appealing for information following reports of an assault that took place outside the Crown and Cushion pub, on High Street, Biddulph, at around 1.45am on Saturday, November 20th.

It is reported the victim, following the assault, made his way along Tunstall Road and collapsed.

The man received facial injuries. He was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and was taken to hospital where he remains. Police say he is in a "critical but stable" condition.

A 26-year-old man, from Biddulph, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information or has CCTV footage that could help the police with their enquiries, is asked to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 088 of November 20, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
