Police find missing person safe and well in Biddulph after late night search

A missing person was found safe and well in Biddulph following a late night police search.

Police were spotted in Biddulph at around midnight - 1am last night, with residents saying they saw several police cars going past the Coppice Wood and Pen-Y-Bont Walk area of Knypersley.

One residents said on social media at around 00:45am this morning (Wednesday): "Six police cars with police on foot walking around the estate, and a fire engine and a fire car. Been looking all over for about an hour now."

Police have since said that their search in the area was conducted in order to find a missing person, who was thankfully found safe and well.

Police did not provide any more information about the person.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Biddulph Nub News: "There was activity in that area as part of a search for a missing person. They have since been found safe and well."
