Police hunt suspects after £5k in jewellery stolen from Biddulph home

Police are appealing for information after a quantity of jewellery and other items were stolen from inside a residential property in Biddulph.

A number of unknown offenders entered a property near Woodhouse Lane in Biddulph sometime between 9am and 5pm on Tuesday (16 August).

A quantity of jewellery, believed to be worth around £5,000 and a luxury handbag were stolen.

One male was seen acting suspiciously in the area between 2pm and 2.30pm. He is described as approximately 6ft tall, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, of a medium build, with dark hair and an unkept beard.

He was wearing dark-framed glasses, a blue top and grey combat shorts with trainers.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Anyone who saw anything or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is being urged to get in touch.

"Contact us on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident 583 of 16 August.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
