Police say they are investigating after a Biddulph car wash was "ram raided" this week.

Officers have responded after residents reported that the Blingz Car Wash, on Childerplay Road in Biddulph, was broken into.

Police were called to reports of a break in at the car wash early yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

Enquiries are now being carried out, including the checking of local CCTV cameras.

We contacted Staffordshire Police to ask for information regarding the break in, although they sent only a very brief statement.

A police spokesperson said: "Called to reports of a break in at a car wash on Childerplay Road, Biddulph shortly before 8:30am yesterday morning.

"Enquiries, including the assessment of local CCTV, is ongoing."

Residents have also reported that the garage next door to Blingz, called Mill Hayes Test Centre, was also ram raided, but police made no mention of this in their statement.

One resident said on social media: "Childerplay Road (Brown Lees end) car wash was ram raided yesterday and now police are at the garage next door as that has also been ram raided.

"If anybody knows the owner the police are trying to get in touch with you."
