Police issue warning after rat poison left at Biddulph village green

Police have warned residents after red pellets believed to be rat poison were left at a Biddulph village green.
Biddulph Nub News reported previously how local residents took to social media to make dog owners aware of dangerous items being left at local parks and green spaces.
It included rat poison being left at the Newpool Meadows village green in Knypersley.
Police have now confirmed they are aware of the rat poison incident and asked residents to be vigilant.
PCSO Clare Sartin, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of a substance found in Newpool Meadows, both wrapped and loose, that is believed to be rat poison.
"We are monitoring the area but please be vigilant when out with dogs or young children."
Residents also found what appeared to be pieces of chocolate with glass stuck inside at Church Road park in Biddulph, but police made no mention of this incident.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson told Biddulph Nub News: "We have no log of this on our systems."
