Police have appealed for information after a suspicious man was reported in Biddulph Moor.

Police say the man was seen asking if he could buy a caravan that was not for sale - at a time when caravans have been taken from the local area in recent weeks.

The incident took place on Thursday, 26th November, with police appealing to the public for information today.

Officers have now asked local residents to ensure their caravans are secure.

PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of a suspicious male in the hazel grove area of Biddulph Moor.

"The male was seen asking if he could buy someone's caravan when it was not for sale.

"The male was described as medium height, medium build, long greased back hair dark in colour.

"He was seen in a white Kia make car.

"In recent weeks we have had caravans taken from surrounding areas, so please ensure your caravan is secure when not in use.

"If you have seen anything suspicious in the area please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 0307 of 26/11/2020."
