Police seized a vehicle in Biddulph for having no valid insurance or driving license last night.

The vehicle, a black Mini, was stopped by officers on Greenway Bank in Knypersley just after 10pm on Monday (10th May).

After police found that the driver had neither a valid driving license or insurance, the vehicle was taken away and the driver was reported for both offences.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Officers seized this vehicle at about 10.10pm yesterday after finding the driver had neither valid insurance, or a valid license.

"The black Mini was taken away by officers after being stopped on Greenway Bank in Knypersley and the driver was reported for both offences."

PC Calum MacDonald of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands Neighbourhood Policing Team added: "This shows the proactive enforcement taken against illegal users of the highway network by Staffordshire Police officers on the Moorlands.

"This will hopefully make motorists think twice before offending."
