Popular Biddulph shoe shop saddened to stop selling children's shoes after reopening
A beloved Biddulph shoe shop has expressed its "great sadness" to no longer be selling children's shoes after reopening next week.
As with many businesses around the country the Brammers shoe shop on Station Road in Biddulph will be reopening on Monday next week (12th April) as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.
But the shop will no longer be stocking or selling children's shoes after its current stock is depleted. Brammers has been running in Biddulph for over 50 years.
However, there is still a positive note for those who have been buying their children's footwear from Brammers, as the shop will be selling the rest of their children's shoes for half price on reopening.
A spokesperson for Brammers said: "It is with great sadness that we have decided to finish selling and stocking children's shoes.
"We will still be selling high quality ladies and gents shoes with our commitment to our exemplary customer service.
"We would like to thank all our children's customers, it has been our pleasure to meet and serve you for the last 50 plus years and we wish you all well.
"We hope you will still come to Brammers for your adult shoes and we look forward to seeing you then.
"We are planning to reopen on the 12th April from 10am to 4pm. We will be selling the remainder of the children's stock half price when we reopen."
Residents have since wished the business well, and said they were looking forward to returning to the shop once it reopens next week.
One commented: "Best wishes for the future with your business, I can imagine recent times have been tough for you. We are very sad to hear this but you need to do what's right for your business."
Another said: "That is such sad news, we love coming to your shop for our children's shoes. You are so friendly and helpful, always happy to help. I am upset to hear this but I wish you all the best for the future."
And a third added: "Oh no this is sad news , you've fitted my children's shoes for the last 16 years . Thank you so much for all your hard work and patience with the children."
