Praise for Biddulph nursery children who thoughtfully donated to foodbank on shopping trip

By Jack Lenton 24th Aug 2022

Two children at a Biddulph nursery have been called "kind" and "thoughtful" after they asked if they could donate some of their shopping to the local foodbank.

Two of the children at Reach for the Stars nursery joined one of the nursery's staff members on a trip to the town's Aldi supermarket.

And the pair did themselves proud after kindly deciding to donate chocolate and biscuits to the local foodbank.

A spokesperson for Reach for the Stars spoke more about their thoughtful act of kindness.

They said: "Two of our older holiday club children joined Steph on a weekly trip to Aldi.

"When waiting to pay they asked if we could donate something to the local food bank, when told yes of course - they instantly chose the chocolate and biscuits from our holiday club shopping to donate. What a wonderful, kind thing to do.

"We are very proud to have such kind, thoughtful children within our holiday club.

"We hear of many parents missing meals to feed children, especially during the school holidays. Remember you are just as important and should never go hungry."
