Purse stolen from woman's handbag in Biddulph

Police have issued an appeal for information after a woman's handbag was stolen from her purse in Biddulph last week.

The woman was out shopping in Biddulph town centre on Wednesday, 24th June when her purse was taken.

The bank cards inside her purse were then used at other locations.

Police have now asked local residents to remain vigilant and make sure all of their items are kept safe.

Asking anyone with information to get in touch, a spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A lady has had her purse stolen from her handbag whilst out shopping on 24th June in Biddulph town centre.

"Her bank card has then been used at various locations.

"Police are asking local residents to be extra vigilant with your belongings and aware of your surroundings.

""If anyone has any information about the incident please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote reference number 21200017098."
