Recent data shows how Coronavirus has all but disappeared in every part of Biddulph

Recent data shows that Coronavirus cases have decreased to almost zero in every area of Biddulph.

Just published Government data shows just how scarce the virus has now become in the town.

An interactive map shows that every area of Biddulph has been left blank, which means that the virus is classed as "suppressed" in these areas.

What's more is that in most areas of the town the number of cases is so small that the Government has opted not to show them. This is to protect infected individuals' identities.

Areas where data is not shown means there are fewer than three cases of the virus, meaning there could either be zero, one, or two cases in that area.

The map shows that from from April 30 to May 7 2021 there were fewer than three cases of Coronavirus in:

- Biddulph Central

- Biddulph Moor and Rudyard

- Endon and Brown Edge

The only exception to this is Biddulph North and Brown Lees, where there were four cases of Coronavirus, but this is still low enough for the virus to be classed as "suppressed" in this area.

There are just seven areas in the UK with triple figures of COVID-19 cases in that same time period.

Bolton currently has the most cases in our country, with 384 positive tests to May 6.

Kirklees came in second with 243. Derry City and Strabane were third with 131 cases.

Barnsley had 136. Blackburn with Darwen, which borders on Bolton, had 127. Bedford had 106.
