Biddulph residents have been invited to come along to an upcoming Community Speed Watch training session.
Anyone who might be interested in joining the town's Community Speed Watch group is welcome to attend an upcoming training session next week.
The training session will take place on Tuesday, 25th August at 10:30am, in Biddulph Town Hall.
Spaces are limited, so anyone who is interested in attending should book a place in advance.
To book a place, contact [email protected] or speak to PCSO Pete Johnson at @StaffsCSW on Twitter.
Biddulph Nub News reported previously how Staffordshire's Community Speed Watch volunteers returned to the roadside from 6th July following lockdown.
The initiative sees local residents monitor speeds of vehicles in their local area using a speed detection device with the aim of raising awareness, promoting safe driving and preventing speeders on their local roads.
A total of 369 volunteers across 69 areas make up the Staffordshire Community Speed Watch scheme, including several in Biddulph.
Volunteers record speeders on a log sheet and submit it to Staffordshire Police. Once the details have been checked, a letter is sent to the registered keeper warning them of the dangers of speeding. If a driver ignores repeated warnings, the force will take further action.
