As inflation soars and recession looms, people in Biddulph are in need for a bit of financial support.

And here are a trio of good causes in Biddulph which could use some financial backing right now.

From charities to individuals, here are three crowdfunders from Biddulph you can pledge to today.

Single Mum Evicted

A Biddulph mum is claiming she was evicted while her baby daughter was in hospital with meningitis.

Single mum of three Billie Anne Wylie is currently living in a Travelodge, after vacating her Biddulph rental home of seven years.

The family from south west Biddulph are now unablele to live in the Travelodge from Wednesday November 30, so are raising emergency funds to help them move into a more permanent home.

£2050 has been raised of the £3000 goal, to prevent the young family from being homeless.

93 people have donated and you can too clicking here.

Hospice Help

Retired South Biddulph resident Susan Forrester is organising a fundraiser for Douglas Macmillan Hospice, which her partner Stephen is currently attending.

Stephen, a retired National Trust employee, has currently had £360 raised for the people that are caring for him.

They have a £500 target. Donate here.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is the only specialist palliative care provider in North Staffordshire for adults with a limited life expectancy. The majority of our patients are affected by cancer. Our aim is to maintain the best quality of life for them by providing a caring and supportive environment, either in the comfort of their own home or at their purpose-built facility at Blurton in Stoke-on-Trent.

Social Supermarket

One directly linked to the cost of living crisis, The Green Tree House is a Biddulph-based good cause which provides essential groceries at an affordable price for those on the breadline.

Located at 72 High St, Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent ST8 6AS (with also one in Congleton), the charity is chaired by Biddulph resident Amanda Beech.

Like all charities, donations are dwindling during the cost of living crisis, but you can help on this link.

This crowdfunder has been ongoing for about two years, as the good causes established in 2014 struggled during the pandemic.

So there's no deadline for this one. Any time, any day please click here to donate.
