Two men have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply in Biddulph, police have said.

In an update this afternoon, police said a stop and search carried out on a man in the Biddulph area led to his arrest.

This first arrest then led to the later arrest of another man, on suspicion of the same offence, in the Kingsfield Road area.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and have reassured the community that they are continuing to target anti-social behaviour and drug related crime in the town.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Following a stop search of a man in the Biddulph area an arrest has been made on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

"This led to a further arrest of a man in the Kingsfield Road area of Biddulph for the same offence.

"The investigation is on going.

"We would like to reassure our residents in Biddulph that we continue to target the issues in the area around anti-social behaviour and drug crime.

"Please report any issues you may be experiencing."
