Brown Edge residents will soon return to having their own post office after the village had to make-do without the facility for several months.

Brown Edge Post Office will be reopening at Nisa on High Lane from Monday next week (August 24th).

Boxing fans can finally return to practising their right hooks from tomorrow, as Biddulph Boxing Gym returns to its indoor training sessions.

The gym has recently been running its training sessions outdoors to prevent the risk of Coronavirus, but have now announced that they will be moving back to their usual indoor sessions at Biddulph Youth and Community Zone from Tuesday, 18th August.

Police cars were spotted in Biddulph last night (Sunday, 16th August) after officers attended an incident on Fountain Court.

Police arrived on the street at around 7.45pm, with residents also saying that officers were at the scene over four hours later.

Cllr Jill Salt, who teaches Health and Social Care at Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College and also sits on Biddulph Town Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, criticised the algorithm used to decide this year's A-Level results, and felt that working class students, or those from less prestigious schools, had been unfairly left behind.

Beauty Salons can finally reopen with close contact services in Biddulph from tomorrow (Saturday).

Initially these salons were meant to be reopening on August 1st, however these measures were pushed back for two weeks due to a rise in Coronavirus cases.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council is considering new measures to keep local public spaces free from dog fouling with the implementation of tougher new orders.

The authority is seeking to replace the current Dog Control Orders, which expire in October this year, with Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) requiring people to keep their dogs under control and to pick up after them.

An investigation launched after a dog attacked a pug and injured two people on Biddulph Valley Way has seen little progress so far, police have said.

The incident took place just after 2pm on Sunday, 2nd August, with officers being called to the popular local walking and cycling route following reports of a dog attack.
